Thomas "Tom" Bachem is an entrepreneur, investor and founder of several startups. As Germany's youngest university chancellor, he founded the CODE University of Applied Sciences in 2017, the university he would have liked to study at himself as a passionate software developer and designer. For this, the business newspaper Handelsblatt named him "Founder of the Year," while MIT Technology Review magazine named him "Social Innovator of the Year." He is also a co-founder and honorary member of the Startup Association, a senator of the German Academy of Science and Engineering, and a member of the Digital Council of the Confederation of German Employers' Associations.
